Was mich beschäftigt

Was ich uns wünsche

I’m Yvonne Bölstler—a self-taught artist who has been painting for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Swabia, moved nine times, and ended up in Saxony—and I’m always on the move on the canvas.

I love vibrant colors and contrasts. In my work, I combine acrylics, mixed media, and black-light paint—to give my paintings depth and a radiance you can feel.

In addition to art, I trained as a medical documentarian and have always worked in the IT field in the area of knowledge management.

Music is also a constant companion—I play various instruments, sing in a choir, and draw inspiration from sounds and colors alike.

I’m married, have three adult children, and a dog. I travel whenever I can—new impressions, new perspectives, new inspiration for the canvas.

What Moves Me

For me, identity isn’t a state—it’s a process. A becoming. A slow, sometimes bumpy journey toward one’s own truth—a lifelong journey. Rilke called it “growing into the answers.” My canvas is the place where I do exactly that: I paint to understand myself and the world around me. To make change, upheaval, and growth visible, to embrace them—and to find in them a beauty and coherence that are uniquely my own.

What I Wish for Us

I’d like to give you the moment when the door opens and you know: Here, I can be who I am—and who I’ll become.

My events aren’t exhibitions in the traditional sense. They’re invitations. No specialized knowledge required, no expectations. Just you and me, the images, the color, and the moment of finding yourself.

Every person carries colors within them—the real ones, the true ones, the ones that are still unfinished. Sometimes all it takes is the right light to see them.

Colorful regards, Yvonne
